Announcement

As of September 26, 2018 Governor Jerry Brown signed AB2103 into law. This law became effective immediately. The law requires all new applicants to take an 8 hour class and requires live fire. Renewals require a 4 hour class and require live fire with each firearm listed on your CCW permit.

Right now there are only two ranges locally to shoot at. Rankin Field Weapons range run by the Tulare County Deputy Sheriff’s Association and the Kings Shooting Range in Hanford.

I am currently working with the Porterville Police Department attempting to secure their range for classes. Hopefully I will have an answer and schedule by the end of the month.

Also, I have scheduled two 4 hour CCW renewal classes each month on the Central Coast to help the Central Valley CCW Permit holders in Kings and Tulare Counties to renew their permits including live fire training.  The classes are scheduled for a Friday afternoon and Saturday afternoon once a month at the largest indoor shooting range on the coast.  It is located twenty minutes south of Pismo Beach.
